| Requirements and Responsibilities For Appeal Resolution Director |
| Directs the appeal resolution function to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant review and resolution of claim appeals. Oversees managers and supervisors responsible for evaluating disputed claims and grievances. Develops appeal policies, procedures, and standards aligned with regulatory and contractual requirements. Analyzes appeal trends, overturn rates, and root causes to drive process and quality improvements. Reports outcomes and compliance metrics to senior leadership and regulatory bodies as required. Ensures compliance with applicable regulations, accreditation standards, and company policies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. Manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. |
