| Requirements and Responsibilities For Behavioral Home Care Aide |
| Provides household management activities and care for patients suffering from mental illness and developmental disabilities. Assists patient with medications and activities of daily living skills, including personal hygiene. Establishes a therapeutic relationship with patient and implements treatment plans under the supervision of a professional clinician. May be required to document progress in accordance with established procedures. May require previous experience working with patients suffering with behavioral health disorders. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Years of experience may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement. |
