| Requirements and Responsibilities For Bricklaying Supervisor |
| Supervises and directs a crew and other personnel engaged in masonry installation projects. Coordinates the activities of workers engaged in laying brick, tile, cinderblock, and other materials to construct or repair structures. Checks the quality of work performed and directs clean up of job site. Requires a thorough knowledge of all types, shapes, and brands of bricks, mortars, and patching materials, and how to reline the ladles, tundishes and the furnace. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a melt shop general supervisor or maintenance general supervisor. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Generally has a minimum of 2 years experience as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of the team processes. |
