| Requirements and Responsibilities For Drilling Engineer V |
| Provides expert judgment for the design and implementation of oil and gas wells. Resolves highly complex technical issues and conducts advanced research into emerging technology in the field. Recommends alterations to development and design to improve safety, costs, and efficiency. Requires a bachelor's degree. Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. May report to a manager or head of a unit/department. Typically requires 10+ years of related experience. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge. Works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in "solution" or project goal terms. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization. |
