Requirements and Responsibilities For Managing Statistician |
Manages a team of statisticians providing statistical experise and insight. Ensures relevant organizational functions receive adequate support, and that related projects run smoothly. Oversees the training and work of statisticians, and gives guidance that ensures accurate, insightful, and well-presented analyses. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a director or head of a unit/department. Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes. |
