Requirements and Responsibilities For Mechanical Engineer V
Designs, develops, and tests all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery. Applies knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, machines, etc. Conducts product testing and creates models and prototypes. May be involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of mechanical products. Requires a bachelor's degree of Mechanical Engineering. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge. Works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in solution or project goal terms. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization. Typically requires 10+ years of related experience.
