| Requirements and Responsibilities For Molecular Biology Senior Manager |
| Leads high-impact molecular biology initiatives to elucidate disease mechanisms, driving the discovery and development of novel therapeutic targets in support of corporate biotechnology and pharmaceutical pipelines. Monitors the development, optimization, and validation of advanced molecular techniques (e.g., NGS, CRISPR, cloning, high-throughput imaging) to ensure cutting-edge analytical capabilities for genetic material assessment. Interprets complex, multi-omics data sets using advanced bioinformatics to identify patterns, translate findings into actionable insights, and guide go/no-go decisions for research projects. Drives a culture of quality, ensuring meticulous documentation, data integrity, and reproducibility of findings in compliance with GLP/GMP standards, while managing laboratory operations for maximum efficiency. Typically requires an advanced degree. Typically reports to a director. Typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. |
