Requirements and Responsibilities For Nuclear Medicine Director
Directs and coordinates all aspects of nuclear medicine. Sets policies and procedures for administering radioactive isotopes and therapy to treat and diagnose patients. Ensures medical services meet the patient quality standards set by the organization. May require an advanced degree. Typically reports to top management. Typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.
