| Requirements and Responsibilities For Pathology Research Scientist II |
| Responsible for designing, developing, and conducting pathology research projects and investigations. Examines diseases using fluids, body tissue, secretions, etc. to ascertain cause, nature, and extent of disease and to determine effectiveness of treatment. Analyzes, interprets, and documents results. May publish study results in academic journals. Stays current on new findings and best practices within pathology. Requires an advanced degree in pathology. Typically reports to a manager. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Typically requires 2-4 years of related experience. |
