| Requirements and Responsibilities For SVP of Medicare STARS Program |
| Leads the enterprise strategy and executive oversight of the Medicare STARS program to maximize CMS Star Ratings and improve member health outcomes. Drives continuous improvement in over 40 quality measures to achieve Quality Bonus Payments (QBP) and drive revenue, profitability, and market reputation. Establishes the long-term STARS roadmap, sets performance targets, and aligns organizational resources and investments to achieve and sustain Star Ratings above 4. Partners with senior clinical, network, and operations leadership to embed quality initiatives into core business processes. Monitors CMS regulatory changes, technical specifications, and Star methodology updates to keep the program compliant and competitive. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. Manages a business unit, division, or corporate function with major organizational impact. Establishes/implements overall direction and strategic initiatives for the given major function or line of business. Typically requires 10+ years of progressive leadership experience. Has extensive knowledge of the overall departmental function. |
