| Requirements and Responsibilities For Wastewater Treatment Plant Supervisor |
| Supervises the daily operations of a wastewater treatment plant to ensure efficient treatment processes and regulatory compliance. Supervises operators and technicians in the operation of treatment processes and equipment. Monitors treatment processes and adjusts operations to meet effluent quality standards. Schedules staffing, maintenance activities, and sampling programs. Trains staff on operational procedures, safety, and regulatory requirements. Reviews process data and records to ensure compliance with permit conditions. Coordinates equipment maintenance and troubleshoots process problems. Requires a high school diploma. May Require Wastewater Operator Certification. Typically reports to a manager. Supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision. |
