| Requirements and Responsibilities For Biopharma Process Development Senior Manager |
| Leads and manages a team of scientists who design and develop processes for the manufacturing of experimental and active drugs. Oversees the physical, chemical, and instrumental analysis of pharmaceutical ingredients to ensure efficiency and safety. Reviews findings and ensures adherence to formulary specifications. Analyzes and interprets results and makes recommendations for process improvement. Leads more complex projects. Stays current on emerging technologies and trends within the biopharma industry. May require a master's degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field. Typically reports to a director. Typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. |
