Requirements and Responsibilities For Echocardiograph Technician
Responsible for performing echocardiograms. Uses ultrasound equipment to create images of the heart to assist cardiologists in diagnosing conditions. Records patient data, analyzes test results, and prepares reports for physicians. May require an associate degree. RDMS, RCS, or RDCS certification is required. Typically reports to a manager. Years of experience may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement.
