| Requirements and Responsibilities For Inside Claims Adjuster II |
| Investigates, evaluates, and resolves insurance claims from an office-based setting to determine coverage, liability, and appropriate settlement. Reviews claim details, policy provisions, and supporting documentation to assess validity and exposure. Negotiates and settles claims with claimants, policyholders, and third parties within established authority limits. Communicates by phone and in writing to gather information, explain decisions, and manage expectations. Documents investigation findings, reserves, and settlement actions accurately in the claims system. Ensures compliance with policy terms, regulatory requirements, and company service standards. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Typically requires 2-4 years of related experience. |
