| Requirements and Responsibilities For Nursing Senior Manager - Nursing Home |
| Oversees and manages the team responsible for providing nursing services within a nursing home. Responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing all nursing services. Ensures compliance with current local, state, and federal standards and regulations. Monitors the quality of resident care and services and makes recommendations and/or adjustments as needed. May consult with residents' family members. May require a bachelor's degree in nursing. Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Typically reports to a director. Typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. |
