| Requirements and Responsibilities For Power Plant Operator II |
| Responsible for controlling, monitoring, and maintaining the machinery and systems within a power plant. Uses control boards to distribute power among generators and regulate the output. Monitors instruments to maintain and meet fluctuating consumer demand throughout the day. Checks equipment and indicators to detect evidence of operating problems. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. Works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. |
