Requirements and Responsibilities For Provider Relations Manager
Manages and maintains service relationships with physicians, providers, and administrators of a provider network. Implements and oversees the credentialing and orientation process to ensure healthcare providers understand and adhere to network operating policies and procedures. Analyzes feedback from network stakeholders to survey satisfaction and facilitate communication. Reviews provider inquiries about referrals, eligibility, credentialing, and other policy matters and resolves complex issues. Evaluates provider relationships to assist with recruiting and contracting healthcare providers into the network. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes.
