| Requirements and Responsibilities For SVP of Pharmacology |
| Provides leadership, innovation, and oversight to the pharmacology department within an organization. Develops, implements, and executes strategic plans, goals, and objectives for the department. Defines and prioritizes department needs, manages initiatives, and drives strategies. Ensures all research and experiments align with strategic objectives, and all pharmacological activities comply with standard operating procedures, good clinical practices (GCP), and other applicable regulations. Provides scientific and technical leadership to the department. May require a master's degree. Typically reports to Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Manages a business unit, division, or corporate function with major organizational impact. Establishes overall direction and strategic initiatives for the given major function or line of business. Has acquired the business acumen and leadership experience to become a top function or division head. |
