| Requirements and Responsibilities For Signal & Image Processing Engineer VI |
| Designs, develops, and tests mathematical algorithms used to analyze and process signal and imagery data. Applies signal and image processing principles and mathematical methods to develop image capture systems. Develops the concepts, requirements, architecture, prototypes, algorithms, and models for systems. Performs extensive testing and validation of designs using simulation and modeling software and tools. Conducts research and studies to create innovative approaches for solutions and products. May require a PhD. Typically requires a master's degree in electrical engineering, mathematics, computer science, or related discipline. Typically reports to a director. Typically requires 12+ years of related experience. Achievement and depth of knowledge of specialization or field is the main differentiator. Advisory role on complex and challenging projects and initiatives. Recognized for deep technical and industry knowledge and innovative thinking. Provides thought leadership and guidance to a functional area and the organization. |
