| Requirements and Responsibilities For Water/Wastewater Field Maintenance Technician I |
| Performs construction and maintenance work on water distribution and wastewater collection infrastructure systems. Constructs, installs, and maintains water distribution and wastewater collection infrastructure. Inspects, repairs, and routinely cleans water and sewer lines, storm drains, and pump stations. Repairs and replaces valves, pipes, fittings, and related components. Operates tools, equipment, and machinery used in field maintenance work. Locates and diagnoses leaks, blockages, and system failures. Follows safety procedures for excavation, confined spaces, and traffic control. Requires a high school diploma. Requires Valid Driver's License. Typically reports to a supervisor. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. May require 0-1 year of general work experience. |
