| Requirements and Responsibilities For Water/Wastewater Field Maintenance Technician III |
| Performs construction and maintenance work on water distribution and wastewater collection infrastructure systems. Constructs, installs, and maintains water distribution and wastewater collection infrastructure. Inspects, repairs, and routinely cleans water and sewer lines, storm drains, and pump stations. Repairs and replaces valves, pipes, fittings, and related components. Operates tools, equipment, and machinery used in field maintenance work. Locates and diagnoses leaks, blockages, and system failures. Follows safety procedures for excavation, confined spaces, and traffic control. Requires a high school diploma. Requires Valid Driver's License. Typically reports to a supervisor. Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Typically requires 3-5 years of related experience. |
