| Requirements and Responsibilities For Broker Relations Director |
| Directs the strategy, operations, and performance of the broker relations function to maximize broker-driven revenue, market share, and distribution effectiveness. Develops and implements broker engagement strategies, segmentation models, and partnership programs that align with the organization's distribution and growth objectives. Oversees broker relations teams across regions or product lines by setting performance standards, budgets, and key initiatives. Establishes and maintains executive-level relationships with top-producing brokerage firms, agency networks, and industry partners to strengthen strategic alliances. Analyzes distribution performance, broker feedback, and competitive intelligence to refine programs, pricing strategies, and service models. Partners with senior leaders across underwriting, product, marketing, and operations to ensure broker needs are reflected in enterprise strategy and execution. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. Manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. |
