| Requirements and Responsibilities For Broker Relations Manager |
| Manages the broker relations function to strengthen partnerships with external brokerage firms, drive distribution growth, and achieve sales and retention targets. Leads a team of broker relations representatives by setting goals, monitoring performance, and providing coaching to enhance broker engagement and productivity. Develops and executes broker engagement strategies, including training programs, incentive plans, and joint marketing initiatives. Builds and maintains relationships with key broker partners, agency principals, and producers to expand market reach and resolve escalated issues. Analyzes broker performance data, market trends, and competitive activity to inform distribution strategy and identify growth opportunities. Collaborates with underwriting, product, and marketing teams to align broker-facing initiatives with overall business objectives and ensure a consistent broker experience. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes. |
