| Requirements and Responsibilities For Energy Field Maintenance Superintendent |
| Directs field operations for the maintenance and repair of electric and gas distribution systems across multiple service areas to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant service delivery. Oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of construction, maintenance, and emergency restoration activities. Establishes operational standards, work practices, and performance targets, and ensures compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Manages large operating budgets, workforce planning, fleet, and materials, and oversees contractor performance across the region. Analyzes reliability metrics, cost data, and operational trends to drive continuous improvement and inform capital and maintenance planning. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. Typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. |
