| Requirements and Responsibilities For Health Educator |
| Assists with developing and designing health education programs meant to increase community awareness and knowledge. Conducts needs assessments and keeps up-to-date on changes in health care technology to keep program material current. Presents, coordinates, and disseminates educational resources and materials. Assists with health education outreach and consultation. May require a bachelor's degree in a related area. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Typically requires 2-4 years of related experience. |
