| Requirements and Responsibilities For Health Policy Sales Manager |
| Manages health insurance sales operations and sales teams to achieve membership growth, revenue objectives, and customer retention goals. Develops sales strategies, territory plans, and performance targets to support organizational objectives and market expansion initiatives. Oversees recruitment, training, coaching, and performance management activities for health policy sales representatives and related staff. Evaluates sales performance metrics, customer trends, and market conditions to identify opportunities for operational improvement and business development. Collaborates with marketing, compliance, underwriting, and customer service teams to support product promotion, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction initiatives. Ensures adherence to state and federal healthcare regulations, licensing requirements, and organizational sales policies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Requires NIPR State Licensure. Typically reports to a director. Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes. |
