| Requirements and Responsibilities For Insurance Agency Branch Manager |
| Manages daily operations of an insurance agency branch to achieve sales growth, customer service, profitability, and compliance objectives. Develops sales strategies, business development initiatives, and community outreach programs to expand the customer base and strengthen market presence. Oversees recruitment, training, coaching, and performance management activities for agency sales and administrative staff. Monitors branch financial performance, operational metrics, and customer satisfaction results to identify improvement opportunities and ensure achievement of business goals. Ensures compliance with insurance regulations, licensing requirements, underwriting guidelines, and company policies across all branch activities. Builds and maintains relationships with clients, carriers, brokers, and community organizations to support business development and customer retention efforts. Requires a bachelor's degree. Requires NIPR State Licensure. Typically reports to a director. Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes. |
